Palm Oil Destruction- Sarawak, Malaysia.  The clear felling of tropical forests continues at an alarming rate- not just in South East Asia but across the whole of the Tropics. Used in over half of all packaged supermarket goods, Palm Oil has become the world’s vegetable oil of choice. The Palm Oil industry is failing to halt  the  clear cutting of primary tropical forest, as increasingly are the industry’s principle regulator, the R.S.P.O.

Governments have so far been equally ineffective in addressing the negative effects of Palm Oil production, often citing the undoubted economic benefits the Palm Oil industry brings.
