Sustainable Development? Stock piles of coal at the RG Tanner Coal Terminal in Gladstone

2013 has seen some worrying changes in the environmental policies on Oceania’s largest economy, Australia. Of most concern are a series of new coal port developments recently approved near the Great Barrier Reef and plans to dump the 3 million cubic meters of dredging spoils produced by the mega project within the boundaries of this UNESCO World Heritage site.
